William Bradford: Plymouth's Rock

Study U.S. history and geography through inspiring true stories of Christians who found freedom in Christ despite the circumstances they faced!

Part of our Mission: Lasting Liberty curriculum, this story of William Bradford underscores the foundations of faith upon which the pilgrims established Plymouth Colony. As a child, William Bradford lived during a time of persecution in England, later escaping to Holland and eventually setting out with the Separatists and Strangers on a voyage to the New World, a land of freedom and opportunity. Suffering frigid winters, starvation, Native American attacks, and treason, William continued to lead his people, forming the cornerstone of a future nation.
