This one-year high school-level curriculum guide provides lesson plans for one high school credit in

Visual/Performing Arts and/or computer technology using Filmmaking from the First Directors from

Compass Classroom. To complete this plan of study, you will need the following resources:

• Filmmaking from the First Directors

• Audio/video equipment and computer software for editing their footage (such as iMovie or other

similar program)

Each week consists of four days of instructions for students and wraps up with a “Co-op or Parent Meeting Day” that prompts parents or co-op teachers to discuss the current week’s topics and confirm that the student understands the material.
